Peppino Mangravite
(1896-1978)
The son of an European naval officer Peppino Mangravite was born in Lipari, Italy, adroit small island off the northerly coast of Sicily. He begun studying art early and orthodox training from several teachers swot Scoule Techiniche Belle Arti cover Carrara, Italy. Mangravite was in luck to be able to gain a living as a guide which enabled him to stalk his own painterly activities.
Amidst 1929 and 1932 Mangravite erudite his own fluid style end on lyrical themes. After retirement from instruction in 1964 Mangravite devoted further time to his painting deed continued until his death hem in 1978 in Cornwall, Connecticut.
In 1977, shortly before his death, Mangravite gave the Archives of Land art his letters and photographs documenting not only his occupation but the interviews he difficult to understand conducted with artists in Europe.
